The QVMAG Earth Drill sculpture project links the two sites through the placement of a separate element of the same sculpture on each site. The two sculptural fragments, one placed at each QVMAG site, act as precipitators for the viewer’s imagination. They enable speculation about the implied underground form joining the two sites beneath the city.

The sculptural fragments are supplemented by a didactic representation of the underground section of the drill and it’s progress under the city to link the two sites.
